PATH TO PARENTHOOD

For some of us, the path to becoming a parent maybe circuitous, complicated, and possibly painful. It might be unexpected, medically difficult, and at times grief-filled. I work with individuals anywhere along the path to parenthood from the moment one begins to think about stepping into this role, through pregnancy/surrogacy/adoption/your right to choose to end a pregnancy, to birth, through the postpartum period and beyond. The pitfalls and adversities faced along the way are often not shared or processed and can cause feelings of isolation, loneliness, grief, and even shame. You are not alone and there is no right way to become or be a parent. If you are needing support anywhere along the path to parenthood, you might be working with or experiencing some of the situations below…

  • Infertility Issues

  • Miscarriage/Ectopic pregnancy

  • Adoption

  • IVF process

  • Choosing to end a pregnancy

  • Surrogacy

  • Antenatal (prenatal) depression

  • Postpartum depression

  • Parenting challenges
